Ian Dunford Ltd are pleased to offer an extensive and diverse range of 9ct Gold and Sterling Silver jewellery for the independent jewellery retailer. Our products have been carefully selected from the worlds leading jewellery design and manufacturing centres. The vast majority of products are available for immediate delivery enabling the retailer to maximise sales whilst reducing stock levels.
Within this site you can find a brief history of the company, our complete range which now can be all ordered on line and our philosophy on service which is so important to the company.
In the early 1980’s Ian Dunford Limited were jewellery retailers with a number of shops trading in the
Yorkshire area. Like many independent retailers there was frustration at the constant problem at being unable to acquire stock quickly and also at a competitive price.
A decision was made to dispose of the shops in order that the company could focus on providing jewellery retailers with a comprehensive range of 9ct Gold and Sterling silver products at competitive prices with availability from stock. In March 1989 Ian Dunford Limited opened the doors at their new Leeds based premises. The company has now developed into a successful mail order jewellery distributor supplying independent jewellery retailers within the United Kingdom and Europe.
I think it’s fair to say that here at Ian Dunford Ltd we love our Lockets. Every year we look to expand our range with new and exclusive designs to go with current and emerging trends, as well as try and add something a little different that hopefully our customers won’t have seen before. With this current range I think we’ve nailed that ideal and everyone is delighted with the design and quality of the finished products. We have produced 49 new lines for 2014 that include some very special styles. For me, the stand-out pieces from this new range are our Silver Diamond Set Bangle Locket (BN00307), Silver Diamond Set Brooch Locket (BV0001), Silver Engraved Heart Ring Locket (BR0002) and Silver Diamond Set Heart Locket with a Bow (BU0574).

We are also seeing an increased interest in Marcasite Lockets so have included 4 very lovely pieces that we have managed to source from a trusted supplier. There are over 60 NEW product lines added from my previous post, so giving us over 120 different pieces of Jewellery all together. This includes 9ct Gold gemstone earrings, 9ct Gold charms, 9ct Gold pendants, 925 Silver earrings, Cubic Zirconia earrings, 925 Silver bracelets, Shamballa style bracelets, 925 Silver bangles and finally packs of 3 Pandora style beads. It’s been precisely a month since my very first experience of a trade show in the jewellery industry. The Jewellery & Watch Show / Springfair 2014 at the Birmingham NEC was the place and it was only my second time visiting this massive international venue (The first incidentally was as a teenager for a very geeky convention!). Before i arrived at the venue i had no idea just how huge the Springfair was as an event nor and the sorts of products i would see. There was almost everything you could imagine and it would of been very easy to get sucked in if i had longer than a day to explore the whole place. I steered myself towards my final destination and apart from getting a little lost amongst the vast array of halls & corridors i eventually found my way to halls 17 & 18 where the Jewellery & Watch Show was held. Greeted by some very friendly door staff i flashed by pass and in i went. It was immediately apparent that i would need much longer than a day to fully take in everything on show and I still cannot get over how much there was to see. The stats say around 20,000 people came over the 5 days of the show to see the usual mixture of huge names in the industry like Pandora, Links of London, Beaverbrooks, Fraser Hart, Swag, Fenwick, John Lewis and House of Fraser, to a medley of old and new designers and wholesalers. Been part of the wholesale side of things it opened my eyes to the level of competition within the industry and the things we can aspire to. I feel having our sister company, Planet Gold Ltd, as a major supplier/manufacturer gives us an edge over many of our competitors and it’s certainly exciting times here at Ian Dunford Ltd. I’ve seen so many changes in such a short space of time and i’m really looking forward to the coming months. We have some brand new lines coming out that you won’t find anywhere else – a selection of 9ct Rose Gold stud earrings, and some 925 Silver lockets. Keep an eye out for these developments and more as i will no doubt be sharing the news via our Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook pages. And i might even create a blog post to give you a further insight.
